Planning a bead embroidered set

I bougt two oval shape white syntethical turquise cabachons to make big earrings or two brooches. But when I started to embroider and finished the first tile it seemed to me, that these peaces would look better as a necklace. But ... only one peace, as a pendant wouldn´t look very good. Three peaces together as a necklace would be much better.  So I ordered one more cabachon and found also some round pearls from the same white turquise. I had also two small round cabachond whitch I will use for earrings.
Now I have to figure out which rope would suit for this necklace. Or some bigger copper chain?

White as snow

Some time ago I showd here some beautiful Czech glass buttons. Now I show you earrings made with those small white dragonfly buttons.
These earrings are bead embroidered using transparent silver lined 11/0 and white 15/0 Toho seed beads and small white fire polished Czech glass beads. Earrings have 925 Sterling silver hook earwires and backside is covered with white felt.
These white earrings fit perfectly for wedding. But also for some other special occasion.
For last days it has been quite dark outside and I haven´t got very good photos. So I haven´t added these earrings to my Etsy shop. But I´ll do that as soon as sun comes out and I´ll have some better pictures.

Brown and white as gingerbread and snow

In Etsy there are so many amazing items. Sometimes I just ´forget`myself looking around there. I decided to make a treasury with white and brown items. Brown remainds me gingerbread (today we are going to bake gingerbreads with my dayghter, first time this year) and white is of corse snow.

Here is my treasury with gorgeous white and brown items. My personal favorite is that joyful felted rabbit - Sir Hopsalot.

My new beauties

I received today my order from 8beads and here they are - Czezh glass buttons with dragonfly motif. I love those buttons.

I have done two necklaces woth similar glass buttons - this and this.
I´m also working with twisted herringbone rope for the necklace. It takes so much more time compared to spiral weave rope. But I want to do twisted herringbone rope this time. So I gues it will take a wile and it will be a thing to take in hand between faster projects.

I am so excited:)

Herringbone necklace in progress

I wanted to try to do a herringbone stitch flower. For the center I took yellow (tone sunflower) 14 mm Swarovski rivoli and nested it with beaded bezel. For the bezel I used Toho seed beads - 8/0 size silver lined yellow and 11/0 golden ones.
To make the flower I took silver lined dark orange Czech seed beads, I gues the size is 11/0. And started to surround the rivoli with herringbone stitch. I made many increses when I stitched the flower to make it weavy. I´m very satified how it turned out.
Now I plant to make twisted herringbone rope for the necklace. Maybe I´ll do some more flowers, maybe a bit smaller ones...   I´ll decide this when the rope is finished.

Brown bead embroidered necklace

AS I wrote in last post my brown bead embroidered dragonfly necklace in finished.
In the center of the pendant there is a Czech glass button with golden dragonfly motif. Background of the button is shining in orange and brown tones. I surrounded the button with different seed beads and some brown fire polished beads. I decided to add a spiral weave necklace from brown and light yellow seed beads and made a beaded T-clasp for closure.
I used light brown leather to cover the backside of the pendant.
This necklace and my other beadwork items are avaylable in my Etsy shop.

A little blue dream

My brown bead embroidered necklace is finished and I try to do some photos today, as we have a nice sunny day after quite a long period of clouds and rain.
So today I will show you what other jewelry and handicraft makers have done. I picked some light blue things from different Etsy shops and made one little Powder Blue collection.
Here it is.

Brown dragonfly pendant necklace in progress

I had a gorgeous Czech glass button with golden dragonfly motif and decided to make a bead embroidered necklace. At first I thought I´ll use more orange tones (as the background of the button is something between brown and orange) and some bronze color freshwater pearls.
But when I started to work with it, the plan changed and it came out more brown and golden. And only a little orange. I used Japan seed beads and peyote stitch to bezel the button and surrounded it with seed beads and small faceted glass beads. I haven´t finished the pendant yet, because for a moment I got idea to add some fringes, but I´m not very sure about that.
So I decided to make the necklace next. This was again a tricky task - what would suit the best. At first I tried twisted tubular herringbone, but I didn´t liked it. So I tried spiral weave rope with brown and yellow seed beads and I like how it turned out and I´ll stay to it. Texture of this rope is more lively and it is very flexible.
Hope to show the finished necklace next time.

Brooches

I had some big flat round beads. Some are from glass, some are from colored shell. And I thought to make some bead embroidered brooches.

First one is with red shell bead. I nested it with 8/0 and 9/0 seed beads. Then added two black glass leaves, round glass beads and some more seed beads. Backside is covered with black felt.

The other one is with bright orange shell bead. At first I thought I will use black and orange combination. But then I found those dark green glass leaves and decided to use orange-dark green color palette. And I like how it turned out.

This brooch has dark grey felt on backside.

Bracelets

This post will be about older things. I just thought to collect together pictures of my wrapperd leather bracelets I have in my Etsy shop.
At first triple wrapped leather cuff bracelets. I used different Czech glass beads, leather cord and metal buttons to make these.

Those two bracelets are made from oval Czech glass beads and have also metal button.

The last one is made also from Czech round glass beads in different tones of red and in different sizes. This bracelet wraps four times around the wrist.
All those bracelets are very flexible and comfortable to wear. I like to wear this kind bracelets myself.

Something fresh and green

When I bought two packages of green Czech seed beads with opaque finish I actually didn´t knew what I will do with them. I just added them into my cart because I didn´t had so bright green seed beads and thought that in some projest I could use them. When I got my package I looked at them and got idea from crocheted rope lariat with some colorful addition. As an image of a flower - green flower stalk and colorful petals. I found one package of transparent green seed beads from my stash and started to thread the beads. I stated crocheting with darker beads, eight beads in a row, and finished with lighter ones.
After I had finished the rope it stayd for a while because I couldn´t find my colored shell chips I had purchased earlier and wanted to use here. And when I found them, I realised I had too few of them. After I found some more light blue and pink shell chips from one bead store I managed to finish my projest.
I added some beaded fringes with shell chips and covered the ends of rope with chips. This lariat is very long, 168 cm (a bit over 66 inches) and I used almost 140 grams of seed beads. This is so long, that can be warn as a waistband as well.

Dark red Swarovski Rivoli earrings

Yesterday I added here a photo about starting with dark red Rivoli earrings. Today it was a nice shiny weather and I managed to make some better photos. These are technically the same as turquise Rivoli earrings.

Only backside of the Rivoli is not coveres with beads.

Stars of the Twilight

Yesterday and today I continued  making Rivoli earrings and ended up with two new pears.

At first I will show you the purple ones. When I look at my Etsy shop then many of the products are in different shades of purple and when I think about purchasing beads then I often end up with purple ones ...

But about the earrings ... in the center I used 14 mm crystal AB Rivoli, which shine very nicely in different colors. I surrounded it with laverner opaque superduo beads and different shades and sizes of Toho seed beads. I used sizes 8/0, 11/0 and 15/0. At first I thought to leave enterior round of superduos separately as rays. But then I got the idea to make the earrings look like little stars. So I ended up with these star earrings.
Backside is parlty covered with beads. But I thought that the silver surfice of the backside of Rivoli is beautyful itself and suits very well with purple tones.
Usually I don´t  give names to my jewelry, but these seem to have enough caracter to have a name. and when I look at those different shades of purple I start thinking about something dark (in good meaning) and hazy. So I thought that the most suitable name for those sparkling, but the same time a bit hazy earrings will be Stars of the Twilight.

As I wrote in the beginning I ended up with two pears of earrings. The other pear is with very glistering wine red seed beads and also 14 mm Rivoli (fuchsia). But I didn´t managed to make good pictures about finished earrings. So I will show you today only one picture about the process and try to catch better photos tomorrow.

Turquise Rivoli earrings

Couple a days ago I made a pair of Swarovski Rivoli earrings. These sparkling earrings remember a little flower to me. I used 14 mm Rivoli (tone light turquise) and 11/0 and 15/0 Matsuno seed beads. I used peyote stitch to make the bezel and herringbone stitch to surround it. The backside is covered with beads.
The hooks are 925 sterling silver.

These earrings are avaylable in my Etsy store.

New beginning

Making jewelry has been my passion for last five years. It started when I was at home with my older child. Now I can´t imabine my life without making any kind of jewelry. So I decided to start with new blog, where I show olny my creation related to jewelry making. All other crafts and experimenting will stay in my old blog.

I started my jewelry creation with simple wire wrapped earrings. You can see these in my other blog. For now I have moved to bead weaving and bead embroidered jewelry.

I try to post here pictures about my jewelry making process. And about finished ones as well:)

For start I add here bead woven butterfly pendant which I made several years ago, but this is still one of my favorites. I used Miyuki Delicas size 11/0 and peyote stitch to create this.
