Black and gold jewelry collection

As you can see from my blog I have done quite many beaded butterfly brooches. And some days ago I finished one with golden wings. I used black seed beads to surround the cabachons and lovely Toho gold lined seed beads (size 6/0) to finish the edge. These beads are so beautiful - they are gold lined and look a little like frosted, but they also have swome gray and green shine.
Actually I colored these cabachons quite a long time ago and I had also these golden Toho seed beads waiting ... but somehow they just staid for waiting. Now one day I took these cabs and beads and started stitchong.
I like the color of these golden cabachons. They are like glowing in the center of black beads. Brooch is like others with metal brooch pin on the back and backside is covered with brown ultra suede.

As I liked the combination of these colors I made also one round shape brooch fot those who like more classical shapes.

And after fisinhing these two brooches I took two 12 mm glass cabachons and colored them for matching earrings. I have used this design before for black and pink earrings last winter. These earrings are small and lightweight.

And here you can see earrings and round both brooch together.

And here are the same earrings combined with butterfly brooch.

And I found that I have done also a pair of simple lever back earrings eith the same golden glass cabachons.

I made also matching black and gold shoe clips that I will show in next post.

Metallic gray buterfly and matching earrings

I finished this butterfly some time ago. Now I made matching earrings and made some photos.
This time I used metallic gray color for glass cabachons. Cabachons are surrounded with different seed beads - transparent silver lined (size 8/0) and silver (sixe 11/0) Toho seed beads and black (size 9/0) Czech seed beads. The edge is stitched with transparent gray (size 6/0 ) and black seed beads.

This butterfly a brooch again. It has metal brooch pin and backside is covered with black ultra suede.

I made also matching earrings. I used smaller glass cabachons and the same beads as in brooch.

Earrings have silver colored stud earwires.

Sunny bead embroidered butterfly brooch

This bright yellow and red butterfly brooch is a real summer jewelry peace.
I used two different tones of red and bright warm yellow to color these glass cabachons. This is the second butterfly where I didn´t used black seed beads to surround the wings. The first one is the one with teal and light green that landed on a hair barrette when I used gray seed beads. All others have some black seed beads also.
But this time I wanted to make one really colorful and bright butterfly. Butterfly body is still black, as I didn´t had suitable brown beads. But I think black body makes nice contract with these yellow-red wings.

Wings have also some glitter :)

And backside again is covered with black ultra suede and has golden brooch pin.

So much about colors  ...  next butterfly will be a monochrome one in gray and black.

White butterfly brooch and earrings

This time I shoe you white bead embroidered butterfly. This one has clear white, a little glittering wings. I used different silver lined, black and clear seed beads to surround glass cabachons I used for wings.
And this butterfly has matching earrings. Small lever black earrings with white glass cabachons.

And here is white and black butterfly attached to my new jewelry tag. As I like my butterlies so much I used butterfly motif to design these tags.

Bead embroidered jewelry set

This tanzaniite purple blue butterfly is with a little different color combination compared to the first one. I used the same color glass cabachons, but different seed beads. This time I used 8/0 size gray silver lined Toho seed beads and smaller ones in black and silver. I stitched the edge with smaller silver and and a little bigger blue seed beads that leave the edge a little lacy.

This butterfly has silver brooch pin and backside is covered with black ultra suede.

I made two pairs of matching earrings to complete the set.
One pair is bead embroidered and more luxury for occasional wear. This time I used bigger drop shape glass cabachons and the same seed beads as for butterfly.

Earrings have silver colored nickel free stud earwires.

The other pair is smaller and suitable for everyday wear. I used small (12 mm) glass cabachons and dark gray lever back earwires.

This brooch and earrings are listed in my Etsy shop.

Tanzanite bead embroidered butterfly 2in1 brooch-pendant

For this butterfly I used tanzanite blue rainbow frosted Toho seed beads, blue rainbow Czech seed beads and light pink calvanised Toho seed beads to surround glittering glass cabachons. For butterfly body I used again round and fire polished black glass beads.

I added black satin cord with silver colored lobster clasp to wear it as a pendant.

But this cord can be removed easily and butterfly can be wan as a brooch as it has a silver colored brooch pin on the back. Backside is covered with black ultra suede.

And this picture gives the idea of the size of this butterfly.

Pink bead embroidered butterfly and matching earrings

I love my bead embroidered butterflies and I have made some more. This time I show you the pink one. Color combination is the same as I used to make this jewelry set.
I used again colored glass cabachons. I used different Toho seed beads to surround the cabs. This time I didn´t used golden beads as in the necklace. I changed golden ones to light pink silver seed beads.

This picture gives the idea how big or small my butterflies are :)

And backside is covered with black ultra suede.

And here are matching earrings. I used small glass cabachons, the same size as the smaller ones I used for butterly wings.

And here is the whole set. I will list this butterfly and these earrings in my Etsy shop.

Purple bead embroidered butterfly necklace / brooch

This purple butterfly is 2 in 1 - you can wear it as brooch or pendant, as you wish.
To make this butterfly I used glass cabachons that I colored with the same nail polish as I used to make purple earrings and pendant and hair barrette. Dark purple tone and some glitter make this butterfly a little mystical. To surround the cabs I used different seed beads. I added some round and faceted glass beads to form the boby and added also

Backside of this butterfly is covered with black ultra suede. It has silver brooch pin, but it is also possible to wear it as a pendant, exactly like golden butterfly.

Golden bead embroidered butterfly pendant and brooch 2 in 1

I made this bead embroidered butterfly as custom order. My custom er saw my golden butterfly hairband and loved the butterfly. But she wanted it to be as a brooch. Later she asked, if it would be possible to have it as necklace. So I decided to make a 2 in 1 version.

I added brooch pin to the back of the butterfly. But also made two beaded loops that makes it possible to wear as pendant, but rope can be removed easily. Backside of this butterfly is covered with black ultra suede.

Black and white brooch

Another brooch. With round shape, but this time I used nice faceted glass cabachon in the center. I bezeled it with black and silver seed beads. Then I added a round of Czech fire polished glass beads with nice silver shine.

Backside of this brooch is covered with black ultra suede and it has silver colored pin.

At the moment I am working with two pairs of earrings that would match this oval blue turquise brooch (on the first picture).  Next time I will post the pictures of these earrings.

Bead embroidered brooches

Today I will show four bead embroidered brooches. I made these as a gift for kindergarden teachers.
First two brooches have oval syntethical turquise cabachons in the center. Cabachons are surrounded with round glass beads. Blue one:

 And brown one:

This one is made with round syntethical turquise cabachon. I surrounded it with fire polished Czech glass beads and seed beads.

This brooch has also round syntethical turquise as a center. This is the first time I used superduos for bead embroidery. At first I finished the edge with gray seed beads. But I wasn´t very satisfied with it.

So I remade it and used turquise seed beads for the edge. I like this version much more. This turquise edge gives much more shine for the brooch.

All brooches have ultra suede on backside.

"Forget-me-not" jewelry set

This jewelry set is not in my usual style. This is much more romantic than my other items. But I like this new style and using lucite flowers in bead embroidery. So I think there will be some similar items soon.

I started with brooch. This has light blue oval cat eye cabachon in the center. Cabachon is surrounded with Czech seed beads in silver (size 9/0). Then I took some light blue fire polished beads, bigger Toho seed beads in silver and lucite flowers. When I attached the flowers to the brooch they instantly reminded me forget-me-not flowers. That´s why this set has such a name:) When I started to stitch the edge I first didn´t had the plan to add round glass beads. But when I had done simple beaded edge it seemed that something is missing. And those round light grey beads I found from my stash were just perfect.

For a moment I was thinking about making this a pendant for a necklace. But I decided to stay to the initial idea to make a brooch. It has grey metal pin and packside is covered with grey felt.

As I had two smaller cabachons and enough beads and lucite flowers I started with matching earrings. Earrings are made from the same beads, backside is also covered with grey felt and they have sterling silver hook earwires.

Brooches

I had some big flat round beads. Some are from glass, some are from colored shell. And I thought to make some bead embroidered brooches.

First one is with red shell bead. I nested it with 8/0 and 9/0 seed beads. Then added two black glass leaves, round glass beads and some more seed beads. Backside is covered with black felt.

The other one is with bright orange shell bead. At first I thought I will use black and orange combination. But then I found those dark green glass leaves and decided to use orange-dark green color palette. And I like how it turned out.

This brooch has dark grey felt on backside.
