Jewelry set with ocean jasper

In winter I bought some very beautiful gemstone pendants from Soyon in Etsy. She has many beautiful gemstones for a good price in her store. And among others I bougt this beautiful ocen jasper pendant. The color of the stone is so-so, but I love those bright blue dots.
When I started to make a pendant necklace for my very good friend as a birthday gift I choosed this stone as jasper and ocean jasper have very good energy and give strength when waering it.

So I glued the pendant to the felt and started stitching. I used black Czech seed beads with matte finish. I have had those seed beads for a while and I hadn´t found a place to use them. But here that matte finish looks very good. I surrounded the jasper with transparent round glass beads in pale green and beige. And added some bright blue beads to match those lovely blue dots.

When the pendant was finished I started to figure out, which chain to make. As the pendant is quite big I wanted to make some kind beaded rope. First I tried with spiral stitch rope in matching tones of seed beads. But it seemed to be a bit too much for this simple pandant. When I look at the picture now, it looks fine ... but  at that moment I didin´t liked the result.

So I started to search for chenille stitch tutorials. I haven´t used this stitch beafore, but I have seen pictures of very nice chenille ropes. I found the tutorial and started weaving using mainly those black seed beads. I made also beaded T-clasp.

As I had a stub of spiral rope in matching coloway I decided to make a bracelet of it. I added silver magnetic clasp which is very comfotable to close and open.

I wanted to make matching earrings also. I didn´t had any suitable jasper cabachons in appropriate size. But I wanted to make bead embroidered earrings. So I decided to use some glass beads. I tried different variations with black oval shape glass beads, but I wasn´t satisfied with the result. Finally I took those window cut glass beads I ordered from 8 beads. I surrounded these oval shape beads with the same black seed beads, added the same blue round glass beads and I used to make the pendant ... and finally I liked the result. My friend have many earrings with oval shape and they suit her very well.

And here are all  three parts - necklace, bracelet and earrings all together. They are all a bit different, but still making a nice set.

A bit of extravagance

I think these are the most sparkling earrings I have done so far. And I love these:)

In the center I used colorful dichroic glass cabachons. I love those bright, but yet vibrant colors of these cabachons. I surrounded them with Toho seed beads and different glassbeads. When I started to make these earrings I thought to use these extra long turquise drops. But when I finished embroidering I tried these drops and also much shorter pastel green ones. Those green drops were also nice. But I thought that when these earrings are such colorful and sparkling, then why not to use these bright and stylish ling drops.

Backside of the earrings is covered with creamy ultra suede and they have sterling silver hook earwires. Exact measures can be seen here.

Something new - shoe clips

Making shoe clips is something new for me. But shoe clips are very clever way to change and freshen up your shoes - buy one pair plain heels and just in seconds you can add the matching color of your costume. I made these shoe clips in black and red to wear with my red dress. These clips are already tested and they stay very well in place. And when wearign the shoes, you don´t feel the clips at all.

These clips are bead embroidered. I made these from syntethical cabachon and different glass beads.

Shoe clips I bought from CoutureEmbellishment on Etsy.

Orange crocheted rope lariat

Light orange crocheted beaded rope lariat is finished.

It is quite long59.1 inches (150 cm) with fringesIt is crocheted mainly from two tones of light orange plus a litlle darker orange beads. I used Czech seed beads in size 8/0 and it has 6 beads in row.

Into the ends of the fringes I added some bright orange bicones. And I made matching earrings as well. At first I didn´t planned to make earrings. But when I sold my green beaded rope lariat  then buyer wanted to have matching earrings as well. So I decided to make the earrings as well.

At first I made a short herringbone rope from darker orange seeb beads with four beads in row. And then started to add beaded fringes. The earrings are 2.4 inches (6 cm) long (with earwires).

It´s Spring!

It´s spring outside. And I picked some fresh and colorful items from Etsy shops. I gues I can feel the smell of syringa flowers, when I look at those lovely syringa earrings. All other items are also very beautiful. Click on the picture.
