Icy crocheted rope lariat

It has been a very long break since I wrote here last time.
It´s mainly because in July I started to work again, after being at home woth my son, and now I have very few time for my passion to beads. But I still try to do something :)

This lovely crocheted rope lariat is custom order. One very stylish lady saw my blue lariat and loved these glowing drop-beads I used there. But she didn´t wanted a blue necklace. So we decded together that these blue drops would like nice with white as well. And here is the result.

This is long lariat (I forgot to measure the length before I gave it away), so it can be worn in  different ways.

I used Czech seed beads - white ones are milky ones with lovely silky shine. Blue ones are transparent.

One more picture  - the same fringes on jeans :)

Gold and black jewelry set with clip earrings

This jewelry set is made as custom order. I used big glass cabachons that I colored loght gold. This is very beautiful color. Depenging on the light it somethimes looks darker, somethimes lighter. I love this color.

Cabachons, I used, are quite big as you can see. I surrounded them with different sizes of black seed beads, small golden ones and big (size 6/0) gold filled light beige Toho seed beads. These beads match perfectly with light gold cabachos.

Backside of bead embroidered details is covered with brown ultra suede.

And this is the first time for me to make clip earrings. But actually the difference compared to making hook earwire earrings is not so big. But still ....

Pink and black set of necklace and earrings

Some time ago I finished these pink and black earrings and necklace.

I used glass cabachons again :) The central one is quite big approx. 3 x 4 cm. I glued them all to black felt and started stitching. I used different sizes of black seed beads and some small pink and gold ones, too.

As the cabachons are quite big, the necklace itselt is quite massive as well.

And matching earrings with round glass cabachons (14 mm) and black lever back earwires. Backside of earrings and beaded tiles of neckalce are covered with ultra suede.

I started with matching bracelet as well, but I haven´t had enoug time to finish that.

Light green bead embroidered set

I finished some days ago this light green jewelry set. I used again glittering glass cabachons and fire polished glass beads.

For earrings I used smaller round cabachons and silver colored stud earwires.

Here you can see the back of the earstuds. Backside of beaded part is covered with felt.

For pendant I used quite flat round cabachon and the same beads as for earrings.

Bead embroidered set in teal

I started with big glass cabachon (30 x 40 mm) that I colored myself with nail polish. I surrounded it in peyote stitch with lovely silver lined gray Toho seed beads (8/0), black Czech seed geads (9/0) and solver Toho seed beads (11/0). I used also fire polished Czech glass beads.

This pendant has black silk ribbon (1 m long) so you can tie it yourself and decide how do you want to wear it - short or long.

I made also matching earrings. I used smaller glass cabachons and the same seed beads. Earrings have sterling silver earwires.

And here is the set all together.

Bead embroidery with metal filigree

This is my first attempt to use metal filigree detail in bead embroidery. In this simple pendant I used also glass cabachon I colored myself and different seed beads.

I wanted this lovely bronze filigree to be the star of this pendant, so I didn´t covered it with lot of beads. Just added some for color and texture.

Backside is covered with black ultra suede.

Pink bead embroidered necklace

In December I made a pair of earrings with pink glass cabachons.

When I took part of local Christmas fair, one lady bought these earrings and wanted to have matching necklace as well. Now, after some beading brake I took bigger class cabachons and started embroidering. At first I planned to make this necklace with three embroidered tiles. Something similar like this red and white necklace.

But when I had joined these tree tiles together, I felt it would need something more. I took two smaller cabs and continued stitching. So I finished with a necklace with five embroiderd tiles.

I used clear glass cabachons that I colored with two different nail polishes and different seed beads. These lovely pink ones are Toho seed beads in size 6/0. They are transparent color lined beads and have nice greenis shine. I used black round glass beads for the chain.

And backside of beaded tiles is covered with black ultra suede.

Set of pink earrings and hair barrette

Some time ago I bought some transparent glass cabachons and colored them myself. I used two different nail polishes - transparent with some glitter and pink with metallic shine.
I like the color of these cabs - they are not too bright, but they are pink enough:)
I started with hair barrette. I used big oval and two drop cabs and surrounded them with different seed beads. I love those big (size 6/0) pink Toho beads, they are transparent color lined and have a little greenish shine and they match so well with my cabs.

I used golden blank this time, as I used some small golden seed beads when stitching. Backside of this barrette is covered with felt.

After finishing hair barrette I made matching earrings. I used small, 12 mm, glass cabachons and the same seed beads as in hair barrette.

And here you can see the set. At the moment the earrings and barrette are not together anymore. I sold the earrings and new owner wanted me to make matching necklace. So soon I´ll show you one pink necklace, something similar like this or this.

Grayish blue crocheted beaded rope lariat

It has been a while since I finished my last crocheted beaded rope lariat. In last weeks I have been crocheting a lot and this one is the first one that is finished.
These Czech seed beads in size 9/0 remind me rainy autumn evening. They are transparent color lined beads and shine nicely. And these little glass drops in the end of the fringes are exactly like raindrops. They have nice shiny srface. Depending on the light in some point they are like glowing.

This lariat is long (over 150 cm, 62inches) and can be worn in many diferent ways.

I like crochete ropes because they are flexible and so comfortable to wear.

I have one orange and one green-white-yellow ropes waiting for fringes at the moment. And I think there will be some more.

Embroidered turquise pendant

Some time ago I ordered turquise cabachons. I found lovely triangular ones and a bit bigger round ones that are 28 mm in diameter. These triangular ones are very beautiul.
In this bead embroidered pendant I used also seed beads and round glass beads.

Backside is finished with black ultra suede again.

Red and white bead embroidered necklace

As I wrote in my last post, I planned to make one more necklace. I planned to use lava stone beads, but this plan chaged. Those big flat beads, I wanted to use, wasn´t falt enough. And it seemed to me, that they are not very good for bead embroidery. But maybe I´ll figure out something one day:)

So I took three round white turquise cabachons and started to stitch. I new that I want to use white  and red. At first I planned to use also black seed beads. But then I found small Toho seed beads in copper, with lovely shiny finish. Copper matches well with the tone of crackles on the cabs.

I nested the cabc with bright red Czech seed beads and copper Toho seed beads. To surround the cab, I used also a little bigger white Matsuno seed beads.

I used turquise beads and seed beads to make the strand. Necklace has lovely copper T-clasp with flower ornament.

Backside of beaded tiles is covered with dark brown ultra suede.

And one more picture, to show the size of thisnecklace and it´s embroidered tiles.

Red and black necklace with embroidered details

After a long break I´ll show one necklace I finished last week and managed to take some photos today. This is made as custom order. She wanted something similar like this necklace, but in other colors. Actually I plan to make one more necklace with big flat lava stone beads, so she can choose:)

For this necklace I choosed shiny black cabachons from some kind of natural stone. They have very nice shiny surface. I used also Czech seed beads and round Czech glass beads. I wanted central detail to be a bit different. So I used also golden superduos to surround one cabachon. At first I thought I will finish two side details with only black seed beads. For central one I used at first both, red and black seed beads. But compared to the central detail they seemed to be too dark then.

So I took edge row of and used black and red seed beads as seen on this photo below. When I put all three peaces together I felt I have to add something to that central part. It seemed to be a bit too usual for focal detail. So I changed the edge row and added one more row of round glass beads. I used the same edging when I made Forget-me-not brooch.

This made the central part more spectacular and I liked it a lot more this way. I used black natural stone beads and red round glass beads for the strand.

Backside of embroidered details is finished with black ultra suede.
I like that final version of this necklace. This is more for special occasions that for everyday wear. And I think it will be a nice birthday gift, as it is planned to be.

I hope to show soon my next version of red and black neclace.
